Prayer Club

Monday 20th November 2023

Today, we thought about any worries that we have and what we could do to help with our worries. We decided to use bubbles. As we blew the bubbles to Heaven, we said prayers to God to ask him to help us with our worries.

Monday 13th November 2023

This Sunday (19th) is the seventh World Day of the Poor. We thought about the Catholic Social Teaching theme of the Poor and Vulnerable. We discussed how we can help the poor and vulnerable in our community and we wrote some prayers for them.

Monday 6th November 2023

As November is the month when we remember All Souls, today in Prayer Club we thought about those close to us who have died and said prayers together for them. We also prayed for all our brothers and sisters across the world who have died, especially children of war.

Today, we discussed All Saints' Day which is on 1st November. We said a prayer for all the saints then we identified some of the teacher's favourite saints and discussed them.

We listened to a story from the Bible and discussed what the message was in this story. We thought about how we can show kindness to others, just as Jesus has taught us.

Monday 9th October 2023

This week, we looked at the different Mysteries of the Rosary. We know the four Mysteries are Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful and Glorious. We talked about what each Mystery was about. We then discussed the different prayers we say while praying the Rosary and we said a decade of the Rosary together.

Monday 2nd October 2023

In Prayer Club today we discussed St Francis of Assisi as it is his feast day on the 4th. We went outside to the Prayer Garden as St Francis of Assisi is the patron saint of the environment, animals and birds. St Francis of Assisi is also Miss Foley's favourite saint. We then prayed the Rosary as October is the month of the Rosary.

In Prayer Club today we thought about Catholic Social Teaching and how we can live this out everyday. We focused on the theme of Stewardship. We read the Creation Story and thought of ways we can look after God's world.

In Prayer Club today we thought about Catholic Social Teaching and how we can live this out everyday. We focused on the theme of Family, Community and Participation. We said prayers for our families and community and thought of ways we can help them this week.

In Prayer Club today we said some Petition Prayers to God to ask him to help us as we begin a new school year.
